Chocolate cream pie
Everyone loves chocolate, but everyone will be ecstatic when you prepare the Chocolate Cream Pie. A perfect blend of chocolate, walnuts and crackers with an amazing filling. I love this pie, i love preparing it and love eating it. It takes some time to prepare it, but its worth the work and wait. You will be the hit of the party with this one, you have my word.
For this dessert you will need the following ingredients:
For the Crust:
10 whole low-fat graham crackers
¼ c walnuts
2 tbsp. stevia
2 tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
For the Filling:
2 ¾ c fat free milk
1 c brown sugar
1 lg egg
¼ c unsweetened cocoa powder
¼ c cornstarch
1 tsp unsalted butter
- Heat oven to 350 F. Coat pie plate with cooking spray
- Prepare crust: combine graham crackers, walnuts, and stevia in food processor. Pulse until fine crumbs form. Add butter and pulse until blended. Press mixture into the bottom and up sides of pie plate. Bake until lightly browned, 10 min. cool on rack 10 min.
- Make filling: Whisk together milk, sugar ,egg, cocoa , cornstarch and ¼ tsp salt in large saucepan until well combined. Constantly whisk over medium heat until mixture comes to boil. Cook, whisking frequently until thickened, about 5 min. Remove from heat and whisk in butter until melted.
- Press piece of plastic wrap directly onto surface of filling and let cool 20 min. Chill in refrigerator until completely cooled, about 1h. remove plastic wrap and spread filling into crust. Chill at least 2 h before cutting into 8 slices.
